Wind Energy: Tramezzo Wind Farm in Apulia is now operational
Thanks to authorization from Terna, the company that manages Italy’s national electricity grid, the wind farm has been energized, allowing its operations to begin. Last September 17, the first turbine, named BE 07, was put into operation and began feeding energy into the grid.
An ambitious project for the environment
With an installed capacity of 29.4 MW, the plant is made up of 7 wind turbines, each with a hub height of 120 meters. It’s estimated that the annual production will reach approximately 84.6 GWh, contributing significantly to our country’s renewable energy production.
The remaining turbines will be activated gradually, with one generator being switched on approximately every two days. Each activation will be followed by thorough tests to ensure correct functioning and long-term reliability.
This achievement is not just a technological victory; it also represents a strong signal of Italy’s commitment to ecological transition goals and emissions reduction. A big thank you to the entire team that made this important milestone possible!
