The Vigolana 1 photovoltaic plant in Romania is now operational

Alexandria (Teleorman) - With great pride, we announce the official launch of the Vigolana 1 photovoltaic plant, a strategic initiative located in the municipality of Alexandria, Teleorman County, Romania. This cutting-edge project, with an installed capacity of 12.7 MWp and a grid connection capacity of 10 MW, represents a significant step toward the region's sustainable energy transition.

Contribution to Renewable Energy and Emission Reduction

The Vigolana 1 plant is projected to generate an estimated annual production of 19.5 GWh of renewable energy. This amount is equivalent to the energy needs of approximately 7,000 households and will contribute to a significant reduction of over 7,800 tons of CO₂ emissions per year, playing an active role in the fight against climate change and in achieving the European Union’s decarbonization goals.

Local Impact and Development Opportunities

Beyond environmental benefits, the Vigolana 1 project aims to generate positive socio-economic impacts at the local level. It has already created and will continue to provide significant employment opportunities, engaging local stakeholders during both the construction phase and the plant’s ongoing operation and maintenance.
