Alerion has acquired the 14.4 MW “Milestone” wind farm in Ireland

Alerion Clean Power S.p.A. announces its entry into the dynamic renewable energy market in Ireland, a strategic step that marks a significant expansion for the Group. This move, in line with its 2025-2028 Industrial Plan, solidifies Alerion's position as a key player in the European sector.

The acquisition of the “Milestone” wind farm

Through its subsidiary, Alerion Ireland Limited, the Group has finalized an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of Milestone Wind Farm Ltd. This company manages a 14.4 MW onshore wind farm located in County Tipperary. The plant, operational since 2018, is equipped with four Vestas V105 turbines, each with a capacity of 3.6 MW.

The transaction, with a total value of approximately €27 million, represents not only a significant financial investment but also a concrete commitment to sustainable growth. The closing is expected by the end of the year.

Sustainable impact and growth strategy

The “Milestone” wind farm is a valuable addition to Alerion’s portfolio, with an expected annual production of approximately 40 GWh. This amount of clean energy is enough to meet the energy needs of about 15,000 households and helps to avoid the emission of over 16,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year.

The entry into Ireland is a crucial piece of Alerion’s plan, which aims for significant growth in installed capacity and the strengthening of its international presence, reaffirming its leading role in the European energy transition.
