Wind power allows you to take advantage of the wind’s kinetic energy transforming it into electrical energy through the use of a wind turbine. The wind turbine consists primarily of a support tower, a nacelle and wind turbines. The latter are designed and constructed in such a way as to be set into motion by the wind; their rotation is transmitted to a shaft which in turn is connected to a generator of electricity.
The renewable energy sector is going through a phase of global growth, with progressive reduction in investment costs, an increase in demand for electricity and an increasing attention to issues of climate change and pollution.
In recent years we have witnessed a strong technological development, which has led to the creation of ever more efficient wind turbines with a reduction in installation costs and more energy produced. Current research is moving towards larger machines, to capture even winds that are not particularly strong in order to further reduce costs.
